Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Samsung Service Center does with your personal information when you book a repair, contact us, or use this website. It applies to everyone we deal with in the UAE.
Who is responsible for your data
Samsung Service Center, trading as [REGISTERED LEGAL NAME] under trade licence [LICENCE NUMBER], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], is the controller of the personal data described here. That means we decide what is collected and why.
Questions about this policy, or about the data we hold on you, go to [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] or the phone number in the footer of this site.
What we collect
We collect only what a repair visit needs. In practice that is four things.
Contact and address details: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, and the address where the appliance is installed. Without these we cannot reach you or find the appliance.
Appliance and fault details: the appliance type, its full model code, the fault you have reported, and any photograph, video or error code you send us. This is what lets a technician arrive with the right part.
Service records: what was inspected, what was done, which part was supplied, the invoice, and the warranty position on that repair.
Basic website data: the pages you visited, the browser you used and a truncated IP address, recorded by our hosting provider in its server logs. The booking form also records the moment the page loaded, which is how automated spam submissions are rejected.
What we do not collect
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and loads nothing from a third-party domain. No tracking pixels, no embedded fonts, no social widgets. Nobody is profiling you here.
We do not ask for card details on this website. Payment is taken at the time of service.
Why we are allowed to use it
Contact, appliance and service data is processed because it is necessary to perform the repair contract you have asked us to carry out, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping an accurate record of work done.
Invoices and service records are also kept because UAE law requires a business to retain its commercial records.
Where we want to use your details for anything else, a service reminder for example, we ask first, and you can withdraw that consent at any time without it affecting your repair.
Who else sees it
Your data is not sold, rented or traded. It is shared only where the repair cannot proceed without it:
Samsung, where a fault is being handled under the manufacturer's warranty and the claim has to be registered against your appliance.
Parts suppliers, who receive the model code and the part required, but not your contact details, unless a part is being delivered directly to you.
Our hosting provider, which stores this website and the messages sent through its booking form on servers it operates.
Authorities, where we are legally obliged to disclose something.
How long we keep it
Booking enquiries that do not turn into a visit are deleted within twelve months.
Service records and invoices are kept for the period UAE commercial law requires, currently five years, because a warranty claim or a tax query can arrive long after the repair.
Server logs are held for a short rolling period by the hosting provider and are not used to build any profile of you.
Your rights
Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data you can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it if it is wrong, delete it where we have no ongoing reason to keep it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable form.
Write to [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]. We reply within 30 days. There is no charge, and exercising any of these rights never affects the service you receive.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
Keeping it safe
This site is served over HTTPS with a strict content security policy, so the pages you see cannot load or send data to another domain.
Service records are accessible only to the technicians and office staff who need them. No security is absolute, and if a breach ever put your data at real risk we would tell you and the Data Office.
Children
This service is for adults arranging appliance repairs. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we learn that we have, it is deleted.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the foot of the page changes with it. A change that materially affects how your data is used will be brought to your attention rather than left for you to find.
